Since I got that e-mail <a href=\"http:\/\/martine.blogspot.com\/2002_05_01_martine_archive.html#85067385\">very early on<\/a> when Hotmail was still a new company, I was able to get a very simple address: myname (martyne &#8211; which I used to spell with a y) @hotmail.com. I regularly get e-mails which are sent to me by mistake, probably by people who meant to reach a martyne8 or a martyne69 but forgot to write the numeric part. One time it was a woman who was mad at me for not answering her offer to rent me her chalet, and another time it was a guy sending me a photo of him on a fishing trip, hoping the size of his catch would seduce me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But the e-mail I got today missed its target in a more spectacular way than a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceip.org\/files\/projects\/npp\/resources\/patriot.htm\" title=\"See the stuff we learn about when we watch the news?\">patriot missile<\/a>, and it really made my day. Here&rsquo;s what it said:<\/p>\n<p><i>Suject: Meeting, perhaps over a glass of wine?<\/p>\n<p>Hello Martyne!<br \/>\nI&rsquo;m a swedish businessman that have seen you on travestie pagina. I&rsquo;m visiting Netherlands and comes to your town on Saturday. I&rsquo;m bisex and just love fetishy tv&rsquo;s like yourself: boots, make up, so elegant! I&rsquo;m in my late forties, quite big and reasonable goodlooking and with big&#8230;<br \/>\nWhy not have a little tetatet! (Here&rsquo;s an interesting way of spelling t\u00c3\u00af\u00c2\u00bf\u00c2\u00bdte \u00c3\u00af\u00c2\u00bf\u00c2\u00bd t\u00c3\u00af\u00c2\u00bf\u00c2\u00bdte!)<br \/>\nI stay in a hotel but don&rsquo;t know yet if I&rsquo;m sharing a room with somebody, so in case you&rsquo;re interested, click away a mail.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>I make a point of answering these e-mails to warn the sender that he or she did not reach the right person, but this time I thought I would do a little research first to see who my long lost online twin could be.<\/p>\n<p>I found her, and I&rsquo;m happy to say that she is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/tv_martyne\/\">a beautiful grande rousse<\/a> (but not the one we know at YULblog!).<\/p>\n<p>Good luck, Swedish businessman!
