That&rsquo;s why I think people tend to have a lot of half-finished scripts. They&rsquo;ll write 60 pages and then they&rsquo;ll just go back and rewrite these 60 pages rather than finishing the script. Rewriting is the process of figuring out what you intented vs what you achieved, and whether what you originally intended was really the right place to go. My best advice for rewrites is: have a plan before you get in, because it&rsquo;s so easy to just go in and start moving the furniture around and not really do the big work that you need to do. Rewrites are not about where you put that comma. They are really about when that scenes happens or whether that character should even be in the draft.
