The evolution of spongeworthiness
The sponge is back: after an eight-year absence, the Today Sponge is once again available in Canada and can be purchased on the Internet. Distributors of the product are expecting many, many sales. (via Wired News)
Reading this news today made me think of Elaine (from the t.v. show Seinfeld), who was a big fan of the sponge. In a very funny episode, she went crazy when the manufacturer took her favorite contraceptive off the market, so she started stocking up on sponges. Elaine soon realized that she wouldn’t be able to purchase enough sponges to last a lifetime, so she started evaluating potential suitors with a whole new set of criteria. A new concept was born: spongeworthy men, and dating has never been the same since.
Would this t-shirt make a nice anniversary present for B.? Or should I make him take the test first?
