-The Fall colors come out earlier in Montreal than in Nova-Scotia, which is still quite green.

-It is worth it to pay more than 65$ for a motel room in Truro, otherwise the place is probably going to suck.
-The town called « Manadoo » is actually really called Main-�-Dieu.
-There are more intricate stories in the Blork extended family than in a Victor Levy-Beaulieu soap opera.
-Everybody here calls Ed « Eddie ».
-Blork doesn’t really talk fast and doesn’t mumble compared to most Cape Bretoners.
-When Cape Bretoners have money, they keep their houses very modest and buy fancy cars instead.
-Eddie is a lucky boy: he put 50 cents in a slot machine at the Sydney Casino (where members of his family hang out quite frequently) and won $375. And that was before we ate breakfast (yes, at the casino) this morning.
-People around here are very, very nice and friendly and they have a positive outlook on life considering that their economy is not doing so well.
-Tomorrow: we leave the family behind and start touring the Cabot trail.
