The Gates installation in Central Park has come down, but thousands of photos remain on Flickr under the tags: TheGates, gates, gatesmemory, etc. One of my favorite shots is this gorgeous eye photo. Even the woman’s eye makeup matches the color of the gates.
I did not get a chance to go to New York and see the installation myself but our friends Frank and Diana were there and they brought us back a piece of the orange fabric as a memento. Thanks to them, I was able to make my own contribution to the Flickr gates tags.
