  1. Goran! No way, that’s just crazy talk lady! This is Bond we’re talking about here, a public school educated bastion of the British establishment. I just can’t see Goran pulling off the accent somehow.

    My vote is still with either Daniel Craig or Clive Owen.

  4. The producers have hinted they will be going with a much younger actor to play Bond. Like, early 20s. They’ve been auditioning actors such as Alex O’Lachlan (28) and Henry Cavill (22!). Check out the casting report here.

    Casino Royale is supposed to be a « reboot » of the whole franchise, essentially « Bond Begins, » on his first mission. He might not even have double-0 status.

  6. Ah, Enduring Love… yeah, that was shite, you’ll get no arguments from me there, but don’t judge the poor fella by that. Watch him in Layer Cake, now there’s where you can see the Bond potential.

    AJ, that casting report comes via the Sunday Mirror, not one of our most reputable rags. Of course now I’ve said that I’m fully expecting to be proved totally wrong. *:)

  7. He was pretty good in Enduring Love (though the movie didn’t completely work) but it’s hard to imagine him as the « shaken, not stirred » type.

  8. Hi I have no idea who you people are but go Hugh Jackman as James Bond! Man, he is the best choice BY FAR!

  9. Clive Owen’s gets my vote. Closest to the original ‘Film’ brief for Bond which was ‘a thug in a Saville Row suit’. See ‘Closer’ for details. Younger Bonds? You might as well get Speilberg to produce ‘Kindergarden Bond’ with some Disney-eyed brat in the lead. Expect ‘Thunder Ball-pool’, ‘The Mom with the Golden thumb’, ‘Diaper another day’. Yawn.

  11. Oh well. I never thought Roger Moore was handsome anyway. Craig is a good actor and he might make a « darker » Bond, more edgy and less gadgety, though the gadgets were kind of fun.

    Did immigration let you bring your Kit-Kats back? ;-)
