« Inwardly we are so much richer and better, we are capable of so much more; we are princesses abandoned at birth; we are supermen concealing our powers behind mild-mannered anonymity. It might be said that what some people project onto the Internet is not only a heightened, idealized self but in fact a kind of divine self. I do not think anyone ever lives up to such ideals; most people never even reveal them. It is in fact a tribute to the Internet that it allows so many people to reveal so much. »

Uh… you trying to tell me something?

On a tangent to this and related to posts I have seen recently on other blogs, it makes me a bit conflicted to be part of the blogosphere. It seems there are three or four main types. Those whose aim is to incite conversation and dialogue. Some are online diaries. Some make it their goal to inform others. And others seem to be soapboxes to express personal opinion. Most are a mixture of some or all of these. My hope is that we are all primarily the first, my fear is that I venture too much into the last. But the question is at what point do we cross the line and become more self-aggrandizing as opposed to introducing topics for discussion.
By the way, I dont often talk like this in person.
