A year of blogging in numbers

2005 on ni.vu.ni.connu =

-360 posts published in 2005 (on a total of 1218 posts since the launch of my blog in 2002). That means an average of 30 posts a month for 2005.

-Month with the largest amount of posts: January, 45 posts.

-Month with the smallest amount of posts: December, 19 posts.

-Number of posts in French: 145.

-Number of posts in English: 199.

-Number of bilingual posts: 16.

-Number of photos posted on Flickr: 175, with the largest amount of photos posted in October (26).

-Number of blogs in my RSS reader: 143.

-The post that generated the largest amount of comments:
The one where I asked people to answer a survey about newspaper reading. The results are here.
Note: I changed commenting system during the year and the previous comments have been archived and are no longer available online. It’s too complicated to retrieve them so I don’t have proper stats on comments for the year 2005.

-The post I had the most fun writing: the one about becoming a home owner.

-The saddest post to write: the one about Spiff’s death.

-The post which demonstrated that blogging can be hurtful: The one I’m not going to link to.

-The most disrespectful post, according to a few readers: the one about the new pope.

-The post that generated the most compassion AND mockery from the readers: the one about my full week of babysitting my nephews.

-Number of posts about cats: 19

-Number of posts about movies or television: 72

-Number of times I considered quitting the blog: 0.

Thanks for being there in 2005 and here’s to another year!
