Aaarrggghh!
Some days, I just hate technology. I’m the tech reporter for a weekly television show which is filmed « live to tape » (it’s not live, but we try to put it all on tape in one take). We had everything ready to show an Easter Egg section from a DVD movie, and we rehearsed a couple of times to make sure that the cameras would switch from a Web site on my computer screen to a DVD playing on a big plasma screen behind me. But once the cameras were rolling for real, the DVD refused to cooperate and kept playing the movie instead of giving me the main menu. I pressed « menu », « menu », « menu », without any success. And of course, we were too much in a hurry to roll another take. So if you see a girl on canadian television who turns red from frustration and looks like an idiot while she’s helplessly holding a DVD remote, please be forgiving…
