Blogger frustration

I haven’t been posting much lately because I’ve been so insanely busy but also because Blogger has been driving me nuts. It’s been slooooow and buggy buggy buggy. Just trying to get to the posting page can take 5 trials and you are never sure these days if it’s going to work. No more quicky posts done in 5 minutes, in and out of the system. It takes a lot of the pleasure out of blogging.

I’m reassured to see that I’m not the only one with this problem, as this article from Wired explains. How can Google let one of their products go so bad?

I know, I know, all of you blog snobs think that I should switch to a different kind of blogging system and get something fancier. I’m just not willing to invest the time in moving my whole blog to a new platform. Everybody I know who has moved out of Blogger ended up trying two or three more platforms before settling down. I just don’t have that kind of courage. I figured if I stuck with Blogger long enough, the service would get better and I would have saved some energy with an unnecessary move.

So far, the service hasn’t gotten better. I was waiting for them to implement a commenting system, but the one they came up with is clumsy so I stuck with my free, Yaccs service. I told you: I don’t move very fast.

Come on, Google people, do something. And please, do it fast!

Note: I paid for Blogger Pro a while ago and I’d be willing to pay for better service, even though I never got that damn sweater they promised me.
