I know many of you are not in the screenwriting business but are still curious about the process and the writers themselves. The Santa Barbara Film Festival just gathered high profile screenwriters for a two hour panel called It starts with the script. The panelists were: Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine), Guillermo Arriaga (Babel), Todd Field (Little Children), Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada), Peter Morgan (The Queen/The Last King of Scotland), and Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking). The very large MP3 file is available for download on Hollywood Elsewhere. The sound quality is unfortunately quite low so you’ll probably want to listen with your headphones on.
