Working together

People might not be able to move mountains but when they decide to work together, they can lift stupid cars.

Another good people-getting-together-to-do-great-stuff item: Kids with Cameras.

« Kids with Cameras is a non-profit organization that teaches the art of photography to marginalized children in communities around the world. We use photography to capture the imaginations of children, to empower them, building confidence, self-esteem and hope. We share their vision and voices with the world through exhibitions, books, websites and film. 100% of the net print sales
goes directly to the children’s education and all contributions are fully tax deductible. »

Check out the pictures taken by children in India. Amazing. Makes me want to lend my camera to my nephews for a week.

It’s a geek world

Eric Hellweg, an old friend of mine (and a troubadour ;-) who used to work with me at PC World magazine, wrote an interesting feature about the geeky things to look forward to in 2006 (in the December issue of PCW).

Strangely enough, I just spent part of last week preparing a similar (though shorter) feature for a woman’s magazine (article to be published in the January 2006 issue).
