Beware next time you casually say to a friend: « Need help with your new place? ». They might be the kind of friends, like me, who will actually take you up on your offer and trap you inside a house on a cold and sunny Saturday afternoon.

A huge dining room and a small bathroom got covered with two coats of paint in the time it takes to watch Trading Spaces. They were fast! We abused these poor people to the point of making them cook their own dinner. I guess it was okay since it was fondue!

Thanks again, merci beaucoup! I can’t think of a better way to warm up a house, even though the official housewarming party is still to come…

Plus de m�tro ni de bus � Montr�al apr�s 9h00 – je suis donc all�e reconduire B. � son bureau du centre-ville ce matin. Au retour, j’ai remarqu� une seule auto-stoppeuse: jeune cinquantaine, bien v�tue, pouce discret recouvert d’un chic gant de cuir. Je m’arr�te pour lui offrir de partager mon auto. Elle accepte. Elle avait d�j� eu un lift de l’Ile des Soeurs jusqu’au centre-ville et n’avait eu qu’� attendre 5 minutes pour que quelqu’un d’autre (moi) lui �vite de marcher jusqu’au travail. Elle est serveuse sur St-Laurent et travaille de 11h00 � 19h00: il n’y a donc aucun bus ou m�tro pour elle pendant la gr�ve. « J’ai fait beaucoup d’auto-stop quand j’�tais jeune », m’a-t-elle racont�, « mais maintenant, ce n’est plus pareil… ».

Soyez prudents mais g�n�reux pendant la gr�ve et surveillez les pouces en l’air!

Last week I asked you to play a memory game and help me find movie and tv show titles that started with a number. Together, we gathered 58 titles. The number 2 seems to be the winner as the number most used to start a movie or tv series title, followed by the number 8. Just to play around with stats, I counted the movies and tv shows I have seen on this list: 37.
